Only way is to remove their login from the server. Don't try to fight Informix over this lost cause: they simply don't see it as a problem -- just like continual requests from users (apparently just "brain-dead end-users" to Informix) to provide an additional optional non-ANSI standard user/password mechanism at the product/database level LIKE EVERY OTHER MAJOR DBMS VENDOR IN THE MARKET. Are you listening, Informix? AFAIK you can't. But what you can do is have table in an audit database that specifies registered databases and time to live. So if someone adds a database they shouldn't a background task just takes it out. Similar techniques work well with tables etc John Smith wrote: > > users to create Database? > We have database server with clients connecting via network. > I'm curious is there a possibility to prevent user to create > database (users can fill whole disk space) > Thnx in advance > JS -- Paul Watson # WF Software Ltd # You are only young once Tel: +44 1436 674729 # but you can be immature Fax: +44 1436 678693 # for ever www.wfsoftware.com #
