Dynamic 4GL taking ages to load programs

On a client site today, Dynamic 4GL's fglrun was taking 10 - 15 seconds from being invoked to executing the first line of code after MAIN. This is going to be bad for the users because there's no sign it's doing anything during that time. This was running on a 4-processor Compaq (PII?) 266MHz NT Server box. Is this expected behaviour and is there anything that could be slowing it down? On my home-made K6/2-333-based system it typically loads in 2 - 4 seconds. -Andy Kent- Bristol, England

Network latency? Poorly-tuned IO subsystem on the server?
