$ finderr -33413Message number -33413 not found.
$ chkmsg -33413
-33413: esql: When using -thread, the THREADLIB environment variable must be set to a supported thread library. Currently
supporting: SCE, POSIX(HP-UX 11.0, Solaris 2.5 and higher only)
and
SOL (Solaris Kernel Threads).
$
Basically, you need to set THREADLIB=posix or THREADLIB=dce in the
environment before running the esql script.

Hi Jonathan,
1- We stried to set THREADLIB=dce but still getting Infxmsg -33413
2- We tried to check Infxmsg -33413 (please refer below)
====================================
$ infxmsg -33413 esql: When using -thread, the THREADLIB environment variable
must be set to a supported thread library. Currently
supporting: DCE.
====================================
3- We checked the esqlc script and we found out that we are missing the DCE
libraries, can you please tell me where to get the DCE libraries? Are the
DCE libararies a standard package of Solaries or is it from Informix?
(following is a part of the esqlc script which the compilation failed);
===================================
if [ ! -f /usr/lib/lib$THLIB.so\\
-a ! -f /usr/lib/lib$THLIB.a ]
then
infxmsg -33413
fi
===================================
4- Platform: Solaris 2.6 SPARC
Informix: IDS 7.3 ESQL/C 7.24
Thanks for your help.

As I recall from when I started messing about with threads,
DCE is not part of Solaris, but can be purchased.
SOL is part of Solaris 2.6.
In your version of esql it gives you the option of setting
THREADLIB to SOL, but this doesn't work.
Upgrading esql to <I can't remember what> means that SOL does work.
I'm currently using:
esql -V => 9.30.UC1
onstat - => 7.31.UC6
and everything is ok.
Best regards,
Andy.
