Problems with archecker.

I wonder if anyone can help with this: I am using 11.5 FC8 on Redhat. I have a script that uses archecker to restore a database from one a source database to a different target database on the same machine. The source database has 1225 tables. I drop all the tables in the target database. I then run my script which does the restore. There are some tables that have filtering but only a few. Most tables do a complete restore. After the restore the tables have been restored but in a large number of cases only partially. i.e. some records in the tables were not restored (even though they have no filtering). I took one table as an example. It as 392 records in the source database but only 378 are restored. If I take my schema file and cut it down to this single table, and execute archecker on this one table alone it works fine. The output from AR checker includes the line : LOADED test:gen5mff produced 392 rows. and when I check the table in target there are the right number of rows. When I look at the output from archecker when it is restoring the whole database it does not contain a "LOADED" line at all (even though it clearly did restored 378 rows). Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Some More info:
I have tracked this down to a single table that is causing the problem. When
it is included in the restore rows are missed from tables, when excluded, the
restore works fine.
oncheck reports no errors with the table. The backup from which the restore is
attempted has no errors. There are no messages in the log.
There is nothing peculiar about the table, is a straightforward simple
database table.
