Incredible Problem
I bought Informix Dynamic Server Ver. 7.03 for NT,
and now i'm just loosing my time trying to configure
the server to create a new DB.
This operation seems to be very simple, in fact the Help suggest to
operate through the graphical interface IECC:
1) explore Informix Neighborhood
2) explore "Server name"
3) select Database voice
4) press the right mouse button and press the Create New->Database...
right now it ask me the password, then immediatly answers that an
error occurs:
-761
INFORMIXSERVER does not match either
DBSERVERNAME or DBSERVERLIASES.
respectively in the environment variables
and in the registry (or %INFORMIXDIR%\\etc\\ONConfig.servername)
Naturally i checked the entries but they're all two set to "servername".
I read the on line documentation for days, but all seems to be right,
except the fact: "it doesn't works".
Please help me, i know this is a stupid thing but what i don't know
is which stupid thing is.
