I am guessing it is a Netbackup issue - or the version of the engine we are using is not compatible for some reason with the version of Netbackup... Thanks, Mike
Hi Mike, a bit of a long shot: is your installed XBSA library compatible with new version of Netbackup? sm_versions updated? Cheers Davorin
I know the sm_versions file was not changed after the maintenance pack (mp) upgrade - Any ideas on what the value should be changed to? Currently it is: 1|1.1.0|VERITAS-NetBackup|1| Mike
The values in the sm_versions file must be provided by the SM provider. In reference to your specific problem it seems the XBSA library is not compatible. OnBar is failling inside BSAInit() with signal 6 (SIGABORT) I think you are still using the XBSA library for the old version. Right you are Gustavo - turns out our Netbackup S.A. did not install a MP that is required for Informix - namely: Maintenance Pack NB_INX_60_7_M.tar provides updates and fixes for Veritas NetBackup (tm) Enterprise Server / Server 6.0 for Informix Database Agent on UNIX platforms. Thanks for the help - Mike
