Assistance Installing SCO Unix IDS

We are installing the following products on SCO Unix 5.04: # cat *-cr INFORMIX-4GL Version 7.20.UE2 Copyright (C) 1984-1996 Informix Software, Inc.INFORMIX-4GL Run Time Facility Version 7.20.UE2 Copyright (C) 1984-1996 Informix Software, Inc. Informix Dynamic Server Version 7.31.UC2 Copyright (C) 1986-1999 Informix Software, Inc. INFORMIX-SQL Version 7.20.UD2 Copyright (C) 1984-1996 Informix Software, Inc. # This is the first time that we have received 7.31.UC2 from Informix for the installation. We are upable to be the engine online at all (even using all the onconfig defaults, which uses minimal shared memory. The process dies every time at the attaching to shared memory. Here is the output that we are receiving: 25$ oninit -ivyChecking group membership to determine server run modesucceeded Reading configuration file '/usr/informix/etc/onconfig.pei'...succeeded Creating /INFORMIXTMP/.infxdirs ... succeeded Creating infos file "/usr/informix/etc/.infos.pei" ... "/usr/informix/etc/.conf. pei" ... succeeded Writing to infos file ... succeeded Checking config parameters...succeeded Allocating and attaching to shared memory... Really need to see the message log. But 1 question without looking at that, did you modify the kernel parameters after installing SCO. I always have to modify these for an online install, note that there are 2 or 3 params that cannot be modified via scoadmin.
