860: A fragmented object must have more than one f

Hi, This is regarding table fragmentation in informix 11.70 FC7 running on AIX 6.1. Every year end we have a procedure to create additional dbspace and allocate a new fragmentation for the next txndate on that new dbspace. i.e tablename - historytable new dbspace (for next year) - dbspace2016 add new fragment - wherein all 2016 txndate will be put to dbspace2016 of historytable. We are doing this not via script but by using the informix command line option 1. dbaccess historytable 2. table, alter, historytable 3. table_option, storage, fragment 4. add 5. (YEAR (txndate ) = 2009 ) 6. exit, save , exit , exit, build new table ... The Problem is that we are doing this procedure (FIRST FRAGMENT) on a NEW TABLE with also new dbspace but receiving the error (860: A fragmented object must have more than one fragment). 1. dbaccess historyNEWtable 2. table, alter, historyNEWtable 3. table_option, storage, fragment 4. init,expression,NEW 5. (YEAR (txndate ) = 2009 ) 6. exit, save , exit , exit, build new table ... Question : Does this mean we need to create another dbspace (2 in total)? Or we just need to create 2 fragment on the new (1) dbspace?
