Data Backup

To all..... I seek a method of data backup which will allow me to retrieve data at the database table level. Is there such an animal ? 'ontape', 'on-archive' appear to be limited, only allowing the restoration of data to the DBspace level, and nothing more specific. Anyone ? Please, and thank you....

Dbexport with dbimport for restoring whole database or dbaccess with dbload to restore a single table. Note that since dbexport has to work at the SQL level it MUST lock the database that it is backing up to insure data integrity. Art S. Kagel
