Hello,
I am having a problem that, hopefully, one of you have
had before, or have heard about before.
There box is a PII system with 128MB RAM running SCO
OpenServer 5.0.5 with the latest patches.
The error oninit -v gives: oninit: Fatal error in shared memory creation
The errors given in online.log:
-------------------------------
With SHMBASE 0x80800000 # Shared memory base address:
--------------------------------------------------------------------
09:56:17 shmat: [EINVAL][22]: shared memory base address illegal
09:56:17 using 0x80880000, needs 0x80400000
09:56:17 mt_shm_init: can't create resident segment
With SHMBASE 0x80400000 # Shared memory base address:
--------------------------------------------------------------------
10:00:01 shmat: [EINVAL][22]: shared memory base address illegal
10:00:01 using 0x80480000, needs 0x80800000
10:00:01 mt_shm_init: can't create resident segment
--------------------------------------------------------------------(endless configuration loop, help!)
Review the unix kernel setting recommended by Informix and I think you will
find that you have not set them all.
