Detecting system paging or swapping

Hello friends,
In our system %cached reads and writes are always above 95%. How can I find
if any kind of system paging, swapping or thrashing is going on in the
system? I do check fg writes, they are always zero. I think I may need to
execute some OS command. Is there any onstat option which can help me find
this out?
Thanks in advance

Which OS are you using. You can use sar to system paging/swapping (you
really shouldn't be swapping) - I think it's sar -w but use man sar to look
it up. On some OSs (eg Solaris), vmstat will give you better info.
