FAQ? Info for Newbies?

Hi! Is there an FAQ for this group, or for SQL database groups in genereal, and is there a good place (beside www.informix.com ;-) to look for UNDERSTANDALBLE info in Informix & SQL? Good books? We're currently implementing an ad system running on a Sun Ultra 2 (only 1 CPU so far) and Informix db engine v. 7.14. We are totally green as far as this is concerned, we used VAX and RDB previously. We do have some general SQL and TCP/IP competence, but probably not too much to you guys :-) Any good sources of info?
