Hi, there are some well known problems concerning sessions, that cannot be killed. The easiest way to avoid the situation: Never kill a foreground process that is attached to Informix with signal 9. Last time, when I tried to terminate an "update statistics" by pressing "ctrl-c" ( signal 2 ), I had to wait until the update statistics was done. "dbaccess" didn't terminateuntil the update statistics was finished. Older versions have more problems than younger ones. Bye Stefan Weideneder
