So previously if you have 32 chunks and had CHUNKS set to 32 in your onconfig you had to bring online down to add another chunk...now you don't need to do that anymore...starting with 7.12. You might want to check the onconfig.std in $INFORMIXDIR/etc to see if it has the ADT parameters...if it doesn't have them then they were either removed and no longer nessecariy or someone messed up the onconfig.std. You might also check the release notes to see if they mention anything about not needing these parmeters anymore with 7.12.
