HPL 2kb unload 8KB load

Hello All, Wondering about something covered by the below snipit from this thread.. The noconversion job I was having trouble with seems to be working fine now after some tweaks to the HPL configuration re: shared memory etc. My question now is regarding the unload of 2K page size data and reloading into a 8K schema. That seems to work fine. Data was reloaded and upon initial inspection there were no noticable errors. The other change involved having all tempdb spaces created as 8KB as opposed to 2KB (the fellow configuring this had some temp spaces set at 2KB and some at 8KB). Why is David saying below that unload/load of 2KB page size data in to 8KB page new schema will not work? Is this something that will appear to work and begin causing issues at a later date?
