You can make a table or index MEMORY RESIDENT. That means that pages for the table or index are given a higher priority and tend to stay in the buffer cache. Of course, this is only useful for smaller tables that are used by performance critical applications. It is especially useful for tables and indexes that don't get accessed often enough to keep them in the buffer pool. > Is this something a later version of informix supports?
