ESQL/C Question, Determining data bases available
Posted in 1995
Hello All,
Is there any way to determine the names of the data bases available in
a given environment from within an ESQL/C program? We are currently running
Online 5.01 with 2 servers on the same machine, using I-Star to select which
of the servers to connect to. We need to be able to have our software
be able to determine if it is on the correct server and we would like to
be able to do it in a neater manner than trying to open a data base and
checking to see if an error occured. We may also need to present the user
with a list of data bases available in a manner similar to dbaccess' or isql's
select data base menu.
Thanks in advance,
Jon.
