Oh, I almost forgot, if you are inserting a lot of rows from a flat = file, then you should also turn off the database logging during the load, create the indexes and constraints after the load, increase the size of the FET_BUF_SIZE environment variable. Refer to the=20 PSORT_NPROCS environment variable when creating indexes, usually will require to sort the data. Also the buffer size may be increased = during the load.
