RE: How do I know if a TRACE is active in a SP?

You can write a script that runs daily and will tell you. Here is some pseudo-code: DECLARE AllProcs "SELECT procname FROM sysprocedures"; WHILE <AllProcs> Dbschema -d database -f ProcName Procname.sql For file in *.sql If $(grep "^TRACE ON" $file) Complain loudly! Wow, I've mixed 4GL, Korn Shell, Perl and system commands! Hi How do I know if a TRACE in a Stored Procedure is already active? Can I interrogate a system table for that information? I have some SP's that goes about 10 levels deep and would like to know in the bottom ones if the top SP's have already activated a trace, else if the bottom one activates it again, it overwrite the existing one.
