How to generate view schemas?

Hi everyone!
Does anyone know of an Informix 7x utility/program that
generates the schema(s) for all the view(s) which are derived
from a given table/view?
I'm thinking of something like the dbschema utility, maybe we
can call it dbview, which would take the table or view name as
an argument and generate the schema(s) of the dependent view(s)
as output.
I looked in www.iiug.org but didn't find anything useful. Seems
strange that no one needed to do this yet, since the views are
lost whenever any the source table(s) are dropped. And if you
didn't have a recent dbschema of the view itself saved, you'll
have to rebuild the view from scratch.
I was trying to write my own dbview using the sysviews,
systables and sysdepend tables in the catalogs but I haven't
gotten very far yet.
Thanks for your input.
AX.

Here's a script (attached) that will return you a list of views on a table/view
to any number of levels in the order that they need to be recreated (i.e parent
before child before grand-child and so on). Particularly useful in a
PeopleSoft environment where there is the odd 4th generation view.
