Re: DBD::Informix -- Error Installing On Mac OSX

InDeep: Don't like how the maintainer of Open Source software is performing? Split off a parallel project of you own or start from scratch. Either way give it up! Personally I appreciate the efforts and time that Jonathan puts into DBD Informix and his other OS projects. As someone else who has donated time and code to the community and maintains it, I know what's involved. Like Jonathan I accept reasonable patches, proposed fixes, and suggested features and changes and, like Jonathan, I reject ideas for changes and features with which I disagree. That is my prerogative as the developer and maintainer and it is Jonathan's as well. So, to reiterate: If you don't like how DBD Informix works, fix it yourself and submit the code to Jonathan. If Jonathan rejects your changes you are free to publish a parallel version and compete for users. Put up or shut up!
