Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.

Hello,
=
we plan to migrate from onarchive to onbar , because IBM/Informix
forces that migration with IDS 9.30 an above (no onarchive available).
=
With 'onarchive' there was a tool available named 'ondatartr'
which could be used for log backup and database/log restore without
any archive information (e. g. onarchive tables in the informix server).
=
Exists there any similar tools or solutions for onbar backup and restore
procedures?
One scenario for example is a severe problem with the storage manager:
is there any possibility to do 'emergency' backups of the logical logs to=
disk or tape without the storage manager to keep the database running?
=
Any hints or experiences appreciated.
=
Regards,
Andreas Kutsche
