I want to display integers a words (eg: display 4 as four). How do i do this. pl help. savio pereira

Using IDS 7.31 you can use the CASE statement to replace simple numbers (like 4) with words if all of the possible values are predictable. Using IDS.2000 (9.2x) you could write a UDF to make the conversion in the general case and SELECT the result of that function. If your front-end is a 4GL or ESQL/C application you can always code the conversion into the app and make the conversion for display there. -- Art S. Kagel & Family kagel@erols.com
