How to make both 'onipcshm' and 'onsoctcp' working ?
Posted in 1999
A liner help would be highly appreciated if somebody
could advise.
I'm trying to setup our BBS DB for running on DS (Linux),
with NETTYPE set to both onipcshm/onsoctcp, so that it's
available to the Windows client via ODBC. I tried the config
as follows, but either one (ie. either onipcshm or onsoctcp)
works but not both...
Our BBS server program talk to DB via ipc, and Windows
client need to talk to DB via tcp/ip so it seems that we need
both connection types working.
I suppose it's related to the NETTYPE setting on 'onconfig'
file, but find it difficult to get the syntax right for NETTYPE
setup.
-- sqlhosts
ss10 onipcshm ss10 olshm0
#ss10t onsoctcp ss10 oltcp0
-- onconfig
# System Configuration
SERVERNUM 0
NETTYPE onipcshm
DBSERVERNAME ss10#DBSERVERALIASES ss10t
DEADLOCK_TIMEOUT 60
RESIDENT 0
-- services
#oltcp0 1499/tcp # Informix tcp
Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.
Cheers !
