Create a rhosts.equiv file in the same directory as your hosts file on NT. The file should have have this as the first and only line: ++ (just two plusses, maybe with a space between them). Note that this opens your system up to everyone...the plusses are wildcards. If this works, then you can read up on the hosts.equiv on a UNIX box and make the proper entries to just open it up to your UNIX box. QUESTION about OS user accounts. : No. You have to go into informix and setup the user -- referr to your : documentation for doing this. And, you have to have the user set up as an Informix user from the User Manager program on NT....in addition to doing it from within Informix. joe -- --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Joe Lumbley(jlumbley@netcom.com) author of: "INFORMIX DBA Survival Guide" Slaving away on "INFORMIX DEBUGGERS Survival Guide", available early 1998 from Prentice Hall/Informix Press.
