Re: Informix 7.3 new features

I am sorry Mark, but on that page and links from it I can only find the "executive summary" type of marketing stuff he is refering to. Even the socalled technical spesifications that are refered to eventually doesn't say much. For some reason the Informix marketing people still seem to be afraid to talk about what is *new* in their products in any detail. It seams like they are afraid some will say it's old news in their competitors products or something like that. However our beloved Clem Akins have done something that at least give a little more information. Start at http://www.iiug.org/~waiug/forum98.html to find it. I am sure he is saying more than you can glean from the slides in his presentation, but at least it's a start. Informix would gain a lot from creating a technical overview that did nothing but explain all new features and facilities in ver. 7.3 as compared to earlier versions and post this prominently on their web site.
