Windows 2000 and Client SDK 2.40

I am experiencing some problems with Windows 2000 and Client SDK 2.40. Please reply if you have any solutions for the following: 1-Informix OLE-DB driver does not install nor show any errors while installing. The setup program shows installing mdac 2.1 (which is useless, mdac 2.5 is installed), then says the computer needs to be rebooted to finish. I am here after following these instructions a number of times. The installation is performed under a user with administrative rights. 2-Informix 3.31 32 bit driver and ADO recordset error. Error #: -2147467259, Description: Data provider or other service returned an E_FAIL status. This error occurs when trying to use the filter or recordcount property of a recordset received through ADO and VB6. The recordset is opened client, static, lock optimistic. The connection is opened client.
