We had to run IDS 7.30.UC10 on unixware 7.0.1. because at the time, IDS was not stable on unixware 7.10. I now believe IDS 7.31 will run on unixware 7.1.1 and wish to know if this is stable and worth upgrading to. We are about to replace our 2 Gb disks with 9 Gb ones so this is prob. a good time to upgrade the OS and informix but only if it is stable. We are surrently running a patched IDS engine which appears to have stopped the engne from crashing every 2 days so this is an added complication. So does anyone run the above versions and if so, what are the problems. bennefits if any.

We had a network problem with IDS 7.30 and IDS 9.20. Took us all about a month to figure out what was wrong. You need a few PTFs. Since IDS 7.x will be obsolete at the end of the year and that Informix would give you free upgrade to 9.20, we decided to use 9.20 instead. Post here and comp.unix.unixware.misc if you have questions. Thanh > > Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Before you buy.

It is the only 7.x which will be fully supported after the end of the year and there are no planned dates to change this! >would give you free upgrade to 9.20, we decided to use 9.20 instead. >Post here and comp.unix.unixware.misc if you have questions. > >Thanh >> >> > > >Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ >Before you buy. -- David Williams
