The Microsoft Chicago office is woefully out of the loop...... They set me up with a nice long phone chat with a guy at the Redmond office.... by golly, I could have sworn we spent several hours discussing how he ran SAP for Microsoft on Sqlserver (not oracle). I know I fantasize at times, but not about that stuff... They were. Please try to understand ... I teach at the University of Washington less than three miles from the Microsoft campus. And some of Microsoft's employees, and ex-employees, are my students. And at Christmas parties here on Mercer Island, given a few hours to drink themselves into loose tongues, fascinating conversations take place. I know for a fact that I was correct. The MS employee was doing what I would expect them to do or may not have been aware of the facts. Either way I stand by my statement. You are incorrect. And you still don't know the first thing about Oracle Streams. That said I'll leave this thread as it certainly appears to be deteriorating into invective and my point was made with respect to the PL/SQL. -- Daniel A. The chances of someone in sales being aware of it are essentially zero. 2. The chances of someone in sales being aware of it are essentially zero. Want to hear the third reason? Ok. 3. If he did know he certainly wouldn't have told you. -- Daniel A. Morgan University of Washington damorgan@x.washington.edu (replace x with u to respond) Puget Sound Oracle Users Group www.psoug.org
