Load balanced connection managers w/java

We are setting up a new environment which will have two application servers and two database servers. In front of the application server will be a load balancer. The applications will call the load balancer and it will round robin the calls to the two application servers. The issue is that these application servers will both be part of a connection manager cluster. We want to have the cluster listing the two connection managers. In all your examples, each of the connection managers in the cluster has its own port. Does the cluster have its own port? We have java code coming in to the load balancer, and it will list the machine name ( the load balancer name) and a port. What port do we use here? So in this example here: g_mySLA group - - c=1,i=123456 cm1_mySLA onsoctcp cm1Host cm1Port g=g_mySLA cm2_mySLA onsoctcp cm2Host cm2Port g=g_mySLA cm3_mySLA onsoctcp cm3Host cm3Port g=g_mySLA If the java code goes to machine g_mySLA what port is that in their code? I think I difn't understand your problem. If the connection managers are on different hosts they can all use the same port. But what kind of application is it? You mention application server which suggests J2EE. Is that the case? What are you trying to achieve with the CM?. The two database servers will be a primary and secondary server?
