Well, you have it absolutely right. You will have to output your dbase data to an ASCII file first, I only hope you havn't got any commas in your data. There is a Perl for Informix, called isqlperl, you can get it from: ftp.demon.co.uk [158.152.1.69] I mention the number because it has just changed and the DNS data may not have propogated to you yet. The directory on that site is /pub/perl/dbperl/isqlperl and you'll find v2 extensions in there. Note: The /pub/perl/dbperl stuff from this site is also mirrored at: ftp.cis.ufl.edu:/pub/perl/scripts/db which is probably nearer for you.
