Defunct processes on ONLINE server

Hope someone can help. I have a RISC System/6000 running as a server with the following : Informix On-Line v 5.00 Informix STAR TCP/IP v 5.00 Informix SQL v 4.10 AIX v 3.2.5 I have another RISC System/6000 running as a client with the following : Informix NET TCP/IP v5.00 Informix SQL v 4.10 AIX v 3.2.5 I have the sqlexecd daemon running on the server system. With the DBPATH variable appropriately set on the client system I'm able to connect to the server with no problem. When I look at the process list on the server system (ps -ef), I notice that there are several 'defunct' processes whose parent is the /usr/informix/lib/sqlexecd process. These processes show up after several calls from the client to the server. Any thoughts from anyone? Any help would be appreciated.
