Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.
Henri Moukouri asked how to get the number of the last logical log saved by ON-Bar into a shell variable. Benjamin Thompson said to look for the last row of type L in the ixbar file and gave a script using onstat -c for SERVERNUM, then tail -50000 of the ixbar file, grep ' L', tail -1 and awk. Henri planned to implement it.

Look for the last row in your ixbar file of type 'L'.

Hi,
Something like this. I am using "tail -50000" because ixbar files can get very
large.
SERVERNUM=`onstat -c | grep ^SERVERNUM | awk '{print $2}'`
LASTLOGBACKEDUP=`tail -50000 $INFORMIXDIR/etc/ixbar.$SERVERNUM | grep ' L' |
tail -1 | awk '{print $2}'`
Ben.
Hi Ben,
Thank you very much !I'm going to try it for implementation.
Best Regards,Henri M.
