I include a cut-down version of the program below }that exhibits the problem. Changing the INPUT into an assignment (LET field3 = "aaaaa") works as expected. This is a bug; in fact, it's bug B26915: Number Submitter Entry Date Product Class Dup Bug Num [ 26915] [johnl ] [04/13/1994] [RDS ] [SW ] [ ] ------------------------------------------------- Short Description --------- [CONSTRUCT DOES NOT ACCEPT VALUES WHEN INPUT IS CALLED IN ON KEY CLAUSE ] ------------------------------------------------- Long Description ---------- [This bug originates with the attached email. It was tested under 4.12.UD1 ] [RDS and fails there. Change the INPUT to LET field3 = "aaaAA" and it ] [works correctly. This is not the intended behaviour. ] It does not afflict C4GL.
