Re: try this at home - resolution

Y'all Thanks for trying that out. Both David and Jonathan tell me that this is cured in 4.11 or 4.12 (I'm not looking at their messages at the moment). Quite a few of you came back without the problem - although most of the HP users did indeed have the same problem. I personally feel that it is a question of pilot-error. I should have checked the environment more carefully instead of charging ahead and ass-uming that it had been completely set up on a new account. Of course it wasn't the cleanest of error messages - on the other hand was it Kernigan who, commenting on the cryptic 'core dumped', came back with something to the effect that if he designed a car it would have only one instrument - a light on the dashboard and when it came on the intelligent driver would know what it meant. Since it took me a good 30 min. to figure it out I guess I fall into the 'other' category. cheers j. _____________________________________________________________________________ Jack Parker | Hewlett Packard, BSMC Boise, Idaho, USA| Oh No!
