That's the wrong way to think. You only need one KAIO thread per CPU. If
that isn't enough, then you need more CPU's. ;-)

Strange, running 7.31 on a Compaq ds20 (True64 4.0F) I see 5 KIO on a server with 3 CPU. (but may be oyu are right, 2 KIO seems never to be used) Should I lower them 5 -> 3 and how to do that?
