Where can I find information on getting >these different platforms to communicate properly in Informix? You're not (necessarily) doing anything wrong. Some Unix platforms support sockets, some support TLI. As long as the port numbers in /etc/services are the same, you should not have any problems communicating. In other words, all three boxes should have a similar entry in the /etc/services: sqlexechp 1527/tcp And in $INFORMIXDIR/etc/sqlhosts in all three boxes: instancename onsoctcp [or ontlitcp] hpmachinename sqlexechp ________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com
