C/S application for Windows with Informix Online 7.1 server

Hello, I need to choose a software product for the development of a C/S application for Windows with an Informix Online 7.1 server on DEC Alpha/OSF1. The application must have an impressive GUI with the latest graphical objects used in Windows, and, most important, it must have a good performance for on-line operations driven by telephone requests to the end user and for remote access. Probably, I will choose one of these three: Informix NewEra, Borland Delphi or Gupta SQLWindows. Delphi has the lowest price and a good GUI builder. NewEra is expensive with run-time licenses for every component, it has a poor GUI builder, but it has the same vendor of the server. SQLWindows is also a good tool. Have Delphi and SQLWindows native drivers for Online 7.1 ? Delphi announced drivers for Online 5.x with the last upgrade. Also, I have heard that SQLWIndows has a buggy Informix-router. What about ODBC drivers ? Do this software support all the needed DB features like row-locking, multi-user, SQL, etc.? What about resources? The platform of operation has 486 PCs with only 8M Bytes of RAM. If you have some experience with this software or an opinion please help me. Thank you very much for your attention.
