This possible?

Will this work? - Upgrading a production database to new revisions of OnLine and ISQL. - Goal is to compile and test all forms and reports with the upgraded software WITHOUT INTERFERING WITH THE EXISTING PRODUCTION DATABASE. - Set up new OnLine and ISQL as a separate instance running on the same CPU. For testing, set $INFORMIXDIR to point at the new versions of the software. ?- Do I have to "clone" the production database structure for testing or is it possible for both OnLine engines to access the SAME shared memory? ?- If two instances of the OnLine engine address the same shared memory segment, are there any problems anyone has discovered in doing this? Advice and comments greatly appreciated!
