My in-laws have genealogical records, with supporting document references, tracing their line back to the half-sister of William the Conqueror. Thus, their docs go back to approx 1066. However, their info is not in an Informix database. For you genealogy buffs: We have a database (3 actually) and related software for IBM PC compatible computers. Our MALTBY, CARTER, and McNAMARA databases contain 12,006 5,568 and 2,044 people, respectively. A PUTNAM database is in progress. As with most genealogy databases, they contain many other surnames, besides the main line being traced. Our early Maltbys and Carters lived in colonial New England. If you would like to share info, please contact me. The program that my son and I wrote for Mom and Dad's use is available as shareware. Sorry, this version of the program is *not* data compatible with PAF, ROOTS (II or III), or Family Tree. However, it blows the competition away in terms of ease of use and data capacity. Copies of our databases are available free to registered program owners, or to anyone else who provides appropriate genealogy data in trade.
