Re: Informix manuals online

A bunch of folks express the sentiment: |> I agree Informix should have their manuals online. Very good. The question now arises: what format should they be in? man() format won't work, because the majority of the material does not lend itself to such a format. Someone has mentioned the On-Line workstation manual, which is really neat, but which requires the Framemaker product, which you have to buy yourself. To have a really effective on-line manual (not to be confused with an OnLine manual), you want the point-and-click, cross reference stuff. This means buying software to provide this capability. Would this be acceptable to those of you desiring on-line documentation? Just something to think about.
