Re: Examples of Highest TPS rate for "Business Transactions"

Don, A business transaction is quite a difficult thing to pin down. The Transaction Processing Council (TPC) do their level best to simulate the very beast of a thing. Every customer will not be satisfied by the attempts made to date. One golden rule that stands the test of time is that a computer system is made up of hardware, software, data and procedures. Should any one of the components be out of kilter, so to speak, then you can forget standardised methods of measuring performance. If you wish to know how a vendor (hardware or software) can speed up the procedures you provide on the data in your system then ask them to benchmark it. There is no other way to tell and guesswork in this area can be very expensive.
