CLEANERS should be >= LRUS. The impact is that your checkpoints will be shorter and LRU flushes between checkpoints will be smoother and have less impact on running queries. The downside whenever you shift I/O from the checkpoints towards LRU writes is possibly increasing the impact the engine has on non-database processes running on the machine. Art S.
