My question is, does > Informix ever actually implement these feature request and about how long does > it take? > > Bruce Bramhall Well yes, many of the new facilities introduced in each new release come from feature requests. There is an internal review process where each is reviewed to determine the importance of providing the facility based on a number of factors. Plus opinions are sought from some of the users on how much the feature is required, how much trouble it will cause, etc. Depending on perceived priority new features can take considerable time to go through this process, some never make it. Perhaps if you told us what you ran into, the group could help with alternative designs or workarounds? Cheers - Jim My opinions are my own.
