Onbar Issue

Hi, We are trying to use "onbar" to configure our TSM. While trying to use "onbar" in our Informix instance, I see the following error in the onbar log.. 2009-06-08 07:36:54 28855 28853 /usr/informix/bin/onbar_d -b -w -p - L0 2009-06-08 07:36:54 28855 28853 (-43231) An unexpected error occurred: /usr/i nformix/lib/ibsad001.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directo ry . No such file or directory 2009-06-08 07:36:54 28855 28853 (-43257) Could not open XBSA library /usr/info rmix/lib/ibsad001.so. 2009-06-08 07:36:54 28855 28853 /usr/informix/bin/onbar_d complete, returning 133 (0x85) I have checked the /usr/informix/lib directory and cannot find the "ibsad001.so" file. Is this file part of the informix IDS package or available in any other package. Informix Version : IBM Informix Dynamic Server Version 11.10.UC11 O/S : RHEL 5 Please advise.. Dhaya CB

Hi, the library for Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM) is named libtxbsa.so and is located in $INFORMIXDIR/lib . The onconfig parameter BAR_BSALIB_PATH should be set to the absolut filename of this library to use it with TSM. Still, the Tivoli Client software is needed to allow the XBSA implementation of the above library to talk to the Tivoli server of the storage manager. The name ibsad001.so is a default for the Informix Storage Manager (ISM) XBSA library. I think when running the initialization script for ISM, this will be handled correctly. But to use TSM you have to choose the TSM library as described above. (You could of course copy, rename or perhaps soft link the correct library to the default name, but that may create confusion also.) Last but not least: I have not yet heard of IDS Version 11.10.UC11 being available ... It seems you are quite ahead of everybody else?
