Connection to SE database

Informix Standard Edition issue: We're attempting to use I-Connect or ODBC to connect to an Informix server running on a Digital Unix box. The Unix machine has three physical interfaces. Two are utilizing internal IP addresses (not pingable) and the third is the routed address that we connect to. The database server that we need to connect to is mapped to one of the internal interfaces in the /informix/etc/sqlhosts file. I tried setting that interface to a wildcard (listen on all interfaces?), but Informix didn't like that at all. Any ideas on how we can connect to this database without totally reconfiguring the interfaces...? We've tested and the DEMO_SE server that comes with Informix will work fine when it is bound to an interface that has a routable IP address. Just change the sqlhosts file to point to the routable interface. Art S. Kagel
