I'm not sure what that has to do with my post, but the chunk size limit is from the 32-bit integer type. I never implied it had anything to do with the filesystem. Raw partitions aren't subject to the 2GB limit imposed on 32-bit platforms and aren't affected by the largefiles option (unless you're using cooked files, I guess). Having multiple chunks in a dbspace doesn't help the administrative load much when you're dealing with a terabyte-sized warehouse. XPS lightens that somewhat with its dbslices, but it's still a pain in the butt. --Chuck
