I am wondering if anyone could give me pros/cons to using IIF 2000 for a Data Warehouse. Can it be done? Or am I better off buying a product that does DW specifically (ie Red Brick, XPS) The current platform is RH 7.0 Linux. I would hate to have to buy yet another product. Money does not grow on trees. Thanks Peter pdiazdeleon@cmpmail.com

Money does not grow on trees. I'm currently running an ODS on IDS.2000 and a presentation layer DW on RedBrick. The IDS is stable, predictable and generally slower than the RedBrick. The RedBrick is unpredictable, confusing and full of excitement. It is *very* quick when things are done its way, but practically impossible to speed up when things *aren't* done its way. In other words, yes, you can use IIF 2000 for a DW. However, I wouldn't do it on the same box.
