Tony, We use LVM extensively with our HP9000 series on OnLine 5.0X systems with no problems. We are not using any of the striping capabilities, but I've experimented a bit with them and see no problems there either. I have close to 200 HP systems in the field now using LVM. Our performance is very good, comparable to other systems using a "straight" raw disk, but I have not directly compared speeds with and without LVM.
