Calling error log makes screen blink

I sent out on the net some time ago about when you use: WHENEVER ANY ERROR CALL my_error_handler and an error occurs, before the error handler function is called, the screen blinks ( refreshes ) due to the call to fgl_elog(). The function fgl_elog() is an informix generated call. I've narrowed it down to this call by taking the 'c' code produced from the 4GL, and commenting out the call to fgl_elog. Does any one have a work around or know if this is an outstanding bug? Any help is absolutely appreciated. By the way: INFORMIX-4GL Version 4.10.UC3 ( C-Code Full Dev.)
